Faith Words: Quiet
I’ve been blessed to spend a few days in the mountains with some precious women. We’ve pushed our schedules away and just enjoyed the days as they’ve come. I’m always amazed at the feeling that comes over me when I’m here. I anticipate the change of pace and climate: and when I arrive, I sense a deep joy and awe at being in such a beautiful place. The panoramic views renew my wonder at God’s creation. The tall trees sway gently in the breeze. The mountains seem to wrap their arms around me, protecting me from the hurry of the world. The blue sky is so clear, occasionally sprinkled with puffy white clouds. Even the air is cleaner here, refreshing and invigorating. It rained just as we arrived. A flash flood raced through one of the canyons in town. (Thankfully, we drive through that area before the road was impassable.)
