Faith Words: Let It Rain!

The rain we've had lately has been so refreshing!  Part of me wanted to run outside and dance in it.  We've certainly needed a good rain for a long time.  And not just us, but the land as well.. Have you noticed how the grass and shrubs, flowers and trees, all show signs of new life?  Have you ever missed the color green so much and been so happy to see it?  Yes, we've certainly needed a good rain for a long time.  The world around us has needed it , too.

But is there something we need more?  What would the world look like if it were soaked in God's righteousness?  What we would look like for that matter?

I know there'll come a time when God will overthrow the powers of darkness that are drying up the beauty of His creation.  Then, we'll be in awe of how everything will be made new.  And surely we'll dance in the rain of His righteousness.

Isaiah 45:8 (NIV)

You heavens above, rain down righteousness;
  let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
  let salvation spring up,
let righteousness grow with it;
  I, the Lord, have created it.
