Faith Words: Just a reminder...

Here it is October 1st already!  We have only three months left in this calendar year.  If you started off the year intending to memorize 24 verses as part of the GCR Women's Faith Words challenge and you've stayed on target, you've already posted 18 verses you're memorizing and you only have 6 verses left to complete your goal.

In order to qualify for the Faith Words celebration in January, you need to post at least 20 verses for this calendar.  If you've missed one here or there, now is a good time to get caught up.  One other qualification is that you must be able to quote from memory at least 10 of the 24 verses you've posted this year.  Now is not the time to grow weary.  You can do this!  Let's finish strong.

Faith Words: Here Again

I wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to write again. Without John, I feel hollow and empty, so there were no words to write. But I think I’m ready now.  I started sharing my thoughts and verses to encourage others to memorize God’s word. God’s word is the foundation of our faith, so it seemed to me that writing His word on our hearts was good and would help us stay strong and remain faithful. I still believe that.  I also believe that sharing our faith and sharing the scriptures God writes on our hearts does more than encourage us individually. I believe this sharing builds up our bonds of love: the bonds that strengthen us no matter how many miles lie between us, the bonds that speak encouragement over us when we’re beaten down by life, the bonds that bring us joy when we remind each other of God’s promises.  So let’s do this again. Questions to Ponder Week #1
