Faith Words: Bloom Where You're Planted

Just off the back porch, a small purple petunia has made an appearance.  We didn't plant it.  It just came up.  I mean, it's right out in the middle of the grass!  It even got mowed over the other day.  Tonight, I noticed another one in the side yard.  The little flowers are just blooming away in their unlikely places.

It makes me think of how many of us find ourselves in places where we might not expect to survive, much less bloom and grow.

Did you know that your heavenly Father decided long ago that He wants you right where you are?  No sense wasting your time wishing you were born in a different place or time.  Nope, God planned for you to be here, to live now.

What good works did He place along your path just for you to do?  Do you see them?  Are you looking?

We often underestimate our impact on the world around us and consider ourselves insignificant.  But not the Lord. He knows what you are capable of because He made you.

When He looked out across time, He placed the tiny seed that became you in just the right spot for you to become the person He knew you could be - the person He needs you to be.

So, chin up, dearest.  You're made to bloom right where you're planted.

Make a difference.

Love,

Patrice

Philippians 2:13 (NIV)
