Faith Words: Unshakable

There are terrible things going on all around us. Fear grows, anger grows. Riots and dissatisfaction are everywhere. We start to question where we stand, what do we really value, what is the bedrock of our foundation as a nation, as individuals. Is there solid ground anywhere?

From long ago, God assures us that those who trust in Him are safe and will not be shaken.

“I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭16:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The unrest and the restless scream out at us: “Look at me! Hear my cry! You will have no peace until you let me turn everything you know, everything you trust upside down!”

Our fears surge. Our anger rises. We have to decide - we have to know - what’s important, where we stand.

Often our minds try to get us to join in the struggle on one side or the other, as if our personal strength will be enough to hold us firmly in place.

No. Only one thing is certain. Only one thing is rock solid. God.

He laid the foundations of the universe in place. He established the physical laws that hold everything in place. He alone can bring us peace. He alone is our strength. In Him alone we can trust.

When fear and anger try to shake you and destroy your peace, turn to God - in prayer and in His Word.

His kingdom cannot be shaken.

Standing firmly in Him,

Patrice

Hebrews‬ ‭12:28‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,....
